Citizen’s instrumental debut, “In Search of Her Soul” is a 30 minute EP Tribute to Nina Simone with vocals by The Understudies crew.

The EP showcases the bay area producer/mc and various Understudies MCs paying tribute to the late, great jazz vocalist/pianist Eunice Waymon, better known to the masses as “Nina Simone“, through a vivid array of finely chopped Citizen beats, on certain tracks mixing layers of live instrumentation and some impressive turntable work by DJ Browse.
